Dezember 2024: Munich at Night, a Photo Project by Peter Baer and Jo Walz
Peter Baer – https://fotografiebaer.com – and Jo Walz have joined forces to capture the fascinating atmosphere of Munich at night in a unique photo project titled “Munich by Night.” The project, which runs from June 2022 to September 2024, presents a series of night shots taken with four different techniques. The project emerged from 14 nocturnal walks through the city, during which the photographers captured the beauty and magic of the night from various perspectives.
The project showcases not only well-known landmarks such as the Allianz Arena and the Siegestor, but also lesser-known places that develop a very special atmosphere in the night light. “Munich by Night” is an experimental photo project that shows the city from a new perspective. The four selected techniques are: light trails, double exposures, long exposure with a zoom effect, and focus filters with a mask.
“Munich by Night” is worthwhile for anyone who wants to experience the Bavarian capital or his own hometown from a new perspective. The photographs by Peter Baer and Jo Walz invite the viewer to pause and enjoy the beauty of the night. Since December 2019 I am member of the camera-club77.de. CC77 is one of the largest and most famous photo clubs of Munich, which is famous for his excellent photographers and groups.
